The Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) Examination is a competitive recruitment exam conducted to select teachers for Higher Classes (9-12) in Delhi government schools. Exam Structure - Mode: Online Computer-Based Test (CBT) - Format: Single-tier exam consisting of 300 objective-type multiple-choice questions - Duration: 3 hours (180 minutes) - Total Marks: 300Sections - Section I (100 Marks): Covers General Awareness, General Intelligence & Reasoning Ability, Arithmetical & Numerical Ability, English Language & Comprehension, and Hindi Language & Comprehension (20 marks each). - Section II (200 Marks): Focuses on the subject-specific knowledge related to the candidate's postgraduate qualification and teaching methodology.Marking Scheme - Correct Answer: +1 mark - Incorrect Answer: -0.25 mark (Negative marking) - Unattempted Question: 0 marksEligibility and Selection - Prerequisites: Master’s degree in the concerned subject plus a degree in education (B.Ed or equivalent). - Selection Process: Based on performance in the written test followed by document verification; no interview round is conducted. - Minimum Qualifying Marks: 40% for General/EWS, 35% for OBC (Delhi), and 30% for SC/ST/PH.

Application Process

  1. The application process for the DSSSB PGT exam is conducted online through the official OARS portal. It consists of registration, filling out the application form, uploading documents, and paying the fee. How to Apply: - Registration: Visit dsssbonline.nic.in and click on New Registration. Enter basic details including date of birth, Class 10 roll number, name, mobile number, and email ID to generate a Registration ID and password. - Login: Sign in to the portal using your registration credentials. - Fill Application: Click on the Apply tab for the Post Graduate Teacher position and enter personal, communication, educational, and work experience details. - Upload Documents: Upload scanned copies of a recent photograph and signature in the prescribed jpeg/jpg format (typically between 15 kb and 60 kb). - Fee Payment: Pay the application fee of 100 INR via online modes like SBI e-pay (Women, SC, ST, PwBD, and Ex-servicemen are exempt). - Submit and Print: Review all entered information carefully, submit the final application, and print the confirmation page for future reference.
